This is a description of www.CharityTravelling.org a Global Charity Concept, where travellers network with members of local communities of the places they visit, agreeing to donate one US dollar to charity for every meeting or service. Members of the site (or guests) also sponsor other members (again, they agree to donate one dollar to charity) in order to encourage them to complete their future travels or dreams.



Travellers are typically connected to issues which affect the welfare of the planet and its human inhabitants, since their travels bring such issues to their attention. It is envisioned that they become the catalysts, the ¨foot soldiers¨ of a change in the global society, a change to a world where giving to charity is increasingly the norm. Our mission is therefore to facilitate the change to a society where volunteering and donating money to good causes is normal behaviour for all inhabitants of our planet.

All of us make journeys during our lives, and even if we never leave our hometown, we make a journey through time, towards our destiny. One of the ideas behind CharityTravelling.org is that you can post your upcoming travels, missions or charitable events, and other members (or guests) of CharityTravelling sponsor you to encourage you to complete your travel, event or mission. As such, the heart of CharityTravelling is "MyCT" the place where you can see who is doing what in their lives, and who is encouraging them, supporting them in their endeavor. After posting your expedition, travel, charitable event or mission, other members (or guests) will sponsor you in the comments area below your blog. When these sponsors post their names in the comments box below your blog, they agree to donate at least one US dollar to a charity of their choice.

What do we exactly mean by your own, personal charitable event? It could be an expedition to climb a mountain, sail a lake or kayak a river. It could be simply a travel, a business trip, a charitable event such as a barbeque at your home, or your latest mission or dream. It is anything that other people, members of CT or not, could sponsor you to complete. Post the event by clicking on the corresponding link below. You will be taken to a blog type page where you will be prompted to login (using your Facebook, Twitter, Google or Yahoo account) and post your event in the Add New Comment box. After posting your expedition, travel, event or mission (and briefly describing it) in the Add New Comment box, a site administrator will create a blog type page for your particular expedition, travel, charitable event or mission. Subsequently, the published blog will allow other members of CharityTravelling (and guests) to pledge their support (to sponsor you) by adding their name in the comments box below your blog. Such pledges of support will be accompanied by a donation of at least one US dollar to a charity of the sponsors choice.
